Spring Florals

Florals? For spring? Ground-breaking.”

Yes, florals around spring time is a very predictable trend and can be seen everywhere. There is a reason this trend is so popular during this time however, because what can be prettier than beautiful pieces of clothing covered in beautiful flowers during the time of year when everything is blooming and it’s finally starting to get warm again. I was very skeptical of florals growing up as my mom is not a fan of the trend ( and let’s be honest, our mothers very much influence our style growing up) but it finally started to grow on me several years ago. I have since aquired floral sundresses, blouses, kimonos, you name it. In today’s post I will be highlighting my favorite picks out right now for floral kimonos, blouses and sundresses.

Blouses:

Floral blouses can be very versatile as they come in forms that can be worn as business casual/professional looks to work or very casually as the way I am wearing it in these pictures. I got my blouse from Vici Collection and it’s unfortunately no longer available (and if you’re a frequent shopper at Vici, you know that their stuff sells out within days of being put up on the website) but they have amazing floral pieces available at all times. If this blouse gets restocked, I will be sure to update this post. Some others I like can be found here ( a super cute wrap blouse from Venus), here and here (a cold shoulder black and cold shoulder light blue floral tops from ASOS).

Kimonos:

My current favorite way to wear florals is in the form of kimonos. Actually, my current favorite piece of clothing to wear is a kimono, no matter whether there is a floral or any kind of pattern on it at all. Vici Collection is a great place to find floral kimonos. They have several available right now if you look here. Other places have floral kimonos as well – for example, Forever 21 has so many to choose from and you can look at what is available here. My favorite way to wear my floral kimono is on top of a black skater dress. It gives it more of an edgy look (especially paired up with a choker you can see below) but still look very girly and fun. My dress is still available online from Forever 21 and you can find it here.

Sundresses:

Some may argue that sundress should be reserved for summer time but with the 80 degree weather we’ve been having lately, I think it’s okay to get the dresses out now. If you’re not into that, you can at least stock up now and wear these dresses in the summer. I am absolutely obsessed with this lavender sundress from Express ( as well as the red version). Another one that I am a huge fan of right now is this ivory one from Sophie & Trey. If you are looking for a maxi version that would be great for a late spring or summer wedding, look here for a beautiful blue version from Lulus.

As always, thanks for reading and don’t hesitate to comment below! 🙂
