June Favorites

Just like that, the first month of summer is over which means it’s time to round up my monthly favorites. This month ended up being very beauty heavy in the favorites department, but I don’t think anyone will have a problem with that. July is already starting to look like a good month for favorites as I just tried out a few new things that are very promising – but you’ll have to look out for those next month.

So enough with the introduction, let’s dive into the products!

Siberica Restorative Sea Buckthorn Mask for Damaged Hair : this is literally a lifesaver for girls like me, who like to torture their hair with hot styling tools. This mask is meant for damaged hair and I’m not kidding, after using it for a week (about 3 separate washes), I saw a huge difference in the way my hair looked. It was shinier, more manageable and overall just healthier. All the products from this company are also organic and paraben free, if that is something you look for in products. The mask is made by a Russian company and actually ships to you from there so it does take a little bit of time (about 2 weeks)  to get this in the mail. I bought mine on Amazon and would recommend doing the same. I did think I’d have a little bit of bias being Russian and all when it came to forming an opinion about this mask but I truly did see a huge difference so I’m going to go ahead and claim no bias here 😊

Quenching Coconut Curls Curling Butter Leave In or Rinse Out: This is a versatile product because it can be used as both a hair mask or a leave in conditioner. I personally used this right after either washing my hair (or right after getting out of the ocean) to decrease frizz and to hold in my curls and this does an amazing job doing both of those things. If you like the smell of coconut, you are going to love this product. Be careful though, a little goes a long way. You do not need a lot of the butter to get the effect you want. You can also just use this in the shower to replace conditioner and leave it in for 10-15 minutes. Either way works great. This made a huge difference for my hair on vacation since usually salt water tends to dry my hair out even more but with this, my hair was hydrated and manageable for once

Givenchy Noir InterEdit Mascara– I received this complimentary from Influenster and was almost hoping not to like this too much because I was expecting a pretty steep price tag ( $29 if you’re wondering, which is less than I expected) but I pretty much fell in love after the first time I tried this. First of all, I’ve never had a scented mascara and this smells really nice (a lot of complaints online about too strong of a scent but I actually think it’s pretty subtle). Second of all, your lashes look voluminous and lengthened after using this and the nice little trick with the brush (you can make it do a 90 degree bend) lets you get those corner lashes out even longer and creates a very dramatic effect. I will definitely have to re-purchase this once I run out.

L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara – Yes, I have two mascara favorites this month which is pretty great considering I’ve been in a major mascara rut lately and haven’t been liking anything I’ve been trying out. This one is from the drug store so it’s very affordable and I’ve been hearing beauty bloggers and vloggers rave about this for a few weeks now so I decided it was time to see for myself. This mascara does a great job with volume and the effect lasts all day. A lot of people compared this to the Benefit Better Than Sex mascara but I personally do not like that one but absolutely loved this Lash Paradise mascara so I would not say the two are that similar. Anyway, pick this up at your local drug store or Ulta.

Miscellaneous:

Sun Bum Sunscreen Stick : I picked this up at Ulta right before heading off to Destin for vacation and this has lasted me all throughout my vacation with plenty left. This sunscreen stick smells amazing (banana flavored) and is so easy and convenient to carry around and apply when needed. The coverage is SPF 30 and you’re recommended to re-apply after 80 minutes. Sun Bum products are sold at Ulta and there’s plenty of other stuff by them to check out.

Acrylic Organizers : I am moving next month so I’ve been on a mission to de-clutter and organize what I have. This mission has led me to purchase several make up organizers that I am very happy about and am excited to share with you guys. The first is this palette organizer that can fit many makeup palettes for girls like me who can’t just have one palette. The sad thing was, I still wasn’t able to fit all my palettes on this organizer but that is a whole different issue (that’s called being a bit excessive). The second is this multi-layered organizer that I used to store my bronzers, blushes, powders, highlighters (in the drawers) and skincare products on top. Both of these are very affordable and fit so many products. I highly recommend ordering both of these.

BP Foldover Crossbody Bag: If you follow me on Instagram, you definitely have seen pictures of this bag already. I purchased this bag from Nordstrom when I was looking to expand my crossbody bag collection for the summer as I feel like those are the most useful and convenient types of bags to have. This one really drew me in by its gorgeous cognac color and the abundant space. This bag is still available and also comes in black. It has several sections inside and has two outside pockets as well that zip so perfect for phone and keys. This bag is overall perfect for travel as it would fit everything you need without weighing you down. One warning – it does go a bit far down due to the long straps so you may have to add in an additional hole in the strap to make it shorter. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Well, there you have it for my June favorites. Let me know what you guys were loving this month and I’ll be sure to check it out! As always, thanks for reading and don’t forget to follow me on InstagramPinterest and like my Facebook page!
