July Favorites

With every new month comes a new set of monthly favorites. I know I’m on the same page as everyone when I say, where has this summer gone? I can’t believe it’s August already! This marks the month where I can start saying “I’m getting married next month” which is so exciting!

July also came with a pretty big life event for me and that is moving into our first apartment together with my fiancé. Our apartment is in downtown Cincinnati and we cannot be more thrilled about it. The location is great, the apartment itself is everything we wanted and now that it’s officially all unpacked and organized, we are truly starting to enjoy every bit of it.

Because of the whole moving process, this month was light on favorites. The main reason for that being I was trying to downsize and not buy any more products, clothes, just things in general because the more I got, the more I had to move. With all that in mind, I still got my two subscription boxes and still picked up a few new things so I definitely still have some favorites to talk about. So let’s get into it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – I’ve seen people raving about this online for weeks and finally decided to check this lip mask out for myself.  Not only does this leave your lips super hydrated and look like baby soft angel lips, it also creates a slight plumping effect. At least that’s what I noticed on myself. This will definitely be a must have for the winter for me as my lips get pretty dry and crack and that won’t be happening with this baby in my vanity. Added bonus – this stuff tastes like bubble gum and that alone will make you want to put it on your lips. ($20 at Sephora)

Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil – I received this in my Sephora Play! box and was so excited as I love anything by that brand (seriously, every product smells heavenly) and I’ve been wanting to get on the rose oil trend for a while as I’m a fan of the scent and this oil did not disappoint. It leaves your ends hydrated and masks any split ends and adds such a nice scent to your hair. I did not use this as body oil as I have a dry body oil that I’m obsessing over (Thanks, H2O+ Beauty!) and get more out of this for my hair. As soon as I run out of the sample size, I will be picking up the full sized bottle. Highly recommend checking this stuff out. ($32 for the full size at Sephora)

Puretem Purevera Emulsion – Another subscription box item, this time from Ipsy. This is a moisturizer that is aloe vera based that is literally the most perfect summer moisturizer as it cools down your skin and gets rid of any irritation. I’ve been putting this on after spending a lot of time in the sun and it works wonders for my skin. ($25 on Amazon)

Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette – Anyone else freak out when you saw that Sleek Cosmetics was coming to Ulta? I was so excited when I saw this since I’ve been eyeing this highlighting palette and finally was able to pick it up. This palette is amazing. If you want some serious strobing power, you got it. This isn’t for the feign hearted as this is the opposite of a subtle highlight. It’s perfect for nights out or just days where you want some extra glow. I’m excited to try out more products from this brand. ($15 at Ulta)

Dr.Jart Ceramidin Day Tint – I know I recently talked about this in my Summer Skincare Routine, but this product deserves another mention. This product is the reason I can skip foundation most days in the summer. It provides great SPF coverage as well as just coverage in general for your skin and leave your skin looking so nice and so smooth. The one (major) downfall is the fact that this only comes in one shade. I sincerely hope they come out with more shades of this product because it’s so good. ($48 at Sephora)

This is a great roundup! I have very sensitive skin and need both hydration and a tinted moisturizer for light coverage, so I’ll be looking into the one you recommended!
