September Favorites

Just like that, the month I’ve been waiting for is over. My wedding and all the events around it flew by as well but hey, now I have a honeymoon to plan and look forward to, so it’s not all bad! 🙂 It’s hard to even talk about products or item favorites this month with an event as big as the wedding overshadowing everything, but I did manage to have a few monthly favorites still and am excited to share them today.

I was careful about not trying too many new things right before the wedding as I was trying to avoid any kind of reaction that could have occurred but after, all my new products were fair game. So let’s talk about some things I was loving in the month of September…

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow – One of my bridesmaids, Natalie, picked these up while she was in town for the wedding and wore it on our wedding day and I literally fell in love. I picked one up a few days after and just recently snagged the limited edition set of 3 of them. These come with a doe foot applicator in a square tube and go on top of your eyeshadow. They are SO shimmery and SO beautiful and create a perfect look for going out or special occasions. They’re so easy to apply and are so unique – a must have for any make up lover’s collection. I got mine in Smoldering Satin. The limited edition luckily had 3 other colors that I don’t have so I can’t wait for those to come in the mail.

Make Up Forever HD Foundation – I’ve been hearing about this foundation for months and got lucky enough to receive it complimentary from Influenster to try out in August. Fast forward to now, it is one of my new go-to foundations. I liked it so much, I even used it on my wedding day. This foundation gives you a flawless finish and makes your skin look radiant and flawless without even looking like there’s anything on it. I am so impressed with this and am considering trying out the Make Up Forever HD Foundation stick as well as I think it would be great to have for traveling. Also, if you’re not familiar with Influenster, make sure to read all about it here.

Pur Cosmetics Soiree Diaries eyeshadow palette – This was my first month as a Boxycharm subscriber (and don’t worry, I will do a full review of the subscription service once I get a few more boxes) and so far, I am very impressed. One of the items in the box this month, was this eyeshadow palette by Pur. One, I love the marble packaging. It looks so sleek and is pretty compact which is great, since I am starting to run out of space as far as make up storage. Two, the quality of these shadows is amazing. They blend so easily, are so soft to the touch and the palette itself can create absolutely beautiful looks. The first two rows are mattes with the last row being full shimmers so you can definitely create many looks just using this palette.

H&M Purl Knit Sweater – I just picked up this sweater a few weeks ago at H&M and am already considering going back to snag it in gray. I got the blush version which is so feminine and pretty. This sweater can go with both leggings and jeans and I have even worn it to work with some black zip tie skinnies. The other colors are red and black, if you don’t think the blush or gray versions are for you. Definitely recommend picking this up.

And let’s wrap this month up with the obvious favorite – the wedding.

I am going to dedicate a whole separate post to that perfect day once I get the professional pictures back but for now, here’s a sneak peak of the happiest day of my life.

21697981_1787609087929777_1080471509_nAs always, thanks for reading! Let me know what your favorites were this month! Also, I am currently taking suggestions for what brand to do my “Brand Spotlight” on this month. I played with Pixi by Petra products in September (and the review is coming soon) but am still trying to decide what I want to try next. If you have a brand that would be great to try out for this purpose (one that is versatile with many different products), please comment below and let me know! Also, if there’s a brand that you’ve been interested in trying out but want to hear some reviews first, let me know as well!
