Today’s look can easily come to life if you have four items in your closet: a crewneck sweater, a button up, jeans and booties. As a blogger, I am constantly on the look out for new pieces and looking at new trends but sometimes it’s nice just to use what you already have in your closet without putting in the extra effort (I can already see my husband rolling his eyes as he reads this sentence).

This look truly is one of my favorites – I always feel very put together with it on. My personal favorite is the one you see here – black crewneck with a white button up. There are numerous places where you can get this sweater already paired with the button down but I don’t see a necessity in that since I own both the items to make that piece. I also love pairing solid colored crewneck sweaters with plaid button downs or ones with polka dot patterns. My rule if you’re going to be using patterns is either solid crewneck + patterned button up or patterned crewneck+solid button up. Pretty easy.

I finished the look off with jeans and booties but also think this would have looked great with flat OTK boots. Chunky necklaces are also one of my favorite ways to accessorize these kinds of looks.
