Cloudy With a Chance of Flowers

Late fall in Ohio typically means one thing : rain. As someone whose hair frizzes at even a slight mention of moisture, I am not a big fan. With all that being said, I found a pretty cool umbrella that makes rain a little less bothersome so I guess for now, I’ll put up with it.

I’ve been looking for an umbrella with a design on the inside for years but the ones I kept finding were way out of my price range (can you blame me for not wanting to pay over $100 for an umbrella?). Then, in one of those awesome “32/27/25/etc Things on Amazon Our Readers Are Loving Right Now” posts by Buzzfeed that I recently mentioned in my October Favorites, this umbrella got a shout out.

The cool thing about this umbrella is that it comes in 28 different variations. You can get different colored flowers, other designs, Eiffel Towers, you name it. Another cool thing about it is that it’s inverted. It also claims to be windproof which I can’t speak for yet as I haven’t taken the umbrella out enough times but I will update you guys and if that is the case, this umbrella will definitely be mentioned in my November Favorites.

Now let’s talk about my dress. I just recently stumbled upon a new store at my local mall called Dry Goods. Based on the research I’ve done, this store has many locations around the US. A lot of the brands at this store are ones I’ve seen at TjMaxx and the prices are about the same. There were a ton of cute dresses and sweaters at the store and I will definitely be making a trip back. I picked up this cold shoulder gray dress when I was there and guys, this is literally the softest material I have ever felt in my life. I am seriously obsessed. If you have a Dry Goods in your city, I would recommend checking it out and looking for that dress. The closest thing I could find to it online was this ribbed version.

I paired the dress up with patterned tights and black stiletto booties. I finished off the look with a lace trench (INC) and a plum tote (Michael Kors).
