Those of you who follow me on Instagram are already up to date with the obsession I have with this fur vest. I tend to pull it out pretty frequently these days and have full intentions of doing so all throughout the winter. A fur vest is an essential during this season since it will 1) keep you warm and 2) keep you looking ultra chic with minimal effort.
Today, I’m showing how a fur vest can spice up a monochromatic look and make the already ultra chic all black ensemble look even better. I’m showing off some current trends such as bell sleeves with this Free People top, distressed black skinnies and black ankle boots.
As far as details and jewelry, I went with gold and leopard. My gold watch had a leopard band and I’m wearing a gold evil eye necklace. I finished off the look with gold hoop earrings and a gold clutch.
My favorite way to wear the vest is actually on top of black blouses or sweaters. I like the way the brown fur looks on the black background and think the two compliment each other well. My second favorite background for the fur is red. Wearing the vest on top of a red sweater or chiffon dress also looks great and would make an amazing holiday party look.

Love the look, and I’ve been considering buying something with faux fur as it is a big fashion trend everywhere, especially in Japan! I’ve always been self-conscious about items that make my shoulders look wider, so probably won’t get a vest, but you’re look is definitely pushing me towards getting something 🙂
