My Favorite YouTubers

YouTube took a huge part in my beauty journey. When I first discovered beauty Youtube channels, that’s when my true love for make up was born. I liked it a lot before and read a lot and looked up a lot of stuff about it, but nothing to the extent of what started happening when I first discovered some of my now favorite beauty YouTubers. I have been watching these channels for years now and today, I wanted to share my top 5 favorites out of the ones I watch.

Nowadays, I use Youtube to unwind, to learn about new make up products, to have something to do while I’m painting my nails, and many other times throughout the day. I have probably 10 or so channels that I’m subscribed to and I watch pretty much all their content no matter what they put out. I am currently about a month behind on all my channels which means I have plenty of stuff to watch. The channels I’ll be talking about today are mostly beauty but, some have a lot of other material thrown in. I’ll cover that more when I talk about each channel. Now let’s get into this list…

Kathleen Lights

This is the girl that started it all for me. My whole YouTube obsession can be blamed on Kathleen Lights. If you’re looking to start watching YouTube videos by beauty gurus, this is definitely the channel to start with. Kathleen has a variety of videos that she puts up – make up tutorials, hauls, beauty reviews, all kinds of stuff. Plus, she’s very consistent and uploads three times a week. She also loves drugstore make up so if you’re not looking to spend a ton of money, she’ll always have great recommendations. She’s also very relatable and humble which makes her my favorite YouTuber to watch.

Jaclyn Hill

Chances are, if you dabble in make up at all, you’ve heard of Jaclyn Hill. She’s probably one of the most well-known beauty YouTubers. Jaclyn doesn’t upload as much as a lot of the other beauty channels but when she uploads, it’s high quality content. I would say if you’re looking to learn, Jaclyn is your girl. She’s a great teacher and her make up tutorials teach a ton of different techniques and are very helpful, especially if you’re someone that’s still not very comfortable with creating looks. You will learn everything you need to know from her.

Valeria Lipovetsky

A fellow Russian. Yes, I probably find her to be more relatable because of that aspect but no matter where you come from, you’ll love Valeria. I think she’s absolutely hilarious and her videos are always entertaining. She puts out beauty, wellness, lifestyle and fashion videos so you get a huge variety from her. She also uploads very often so you won’t be waiting around for content for long. I love watching her vlogs and her fashion videos the most but, her beauty and wellness videos are also pretty great.

Dacey Cash

Even though we have completely different hair types, Dacey is my favorite influencer when it comes to hair recommendations. She’s also great with make up recommendations as well but she does so many sponsored videos that I sometimes choose to follow other people’s recommendations over hers in that category. She does a ton of tutorials as well, so if you’re looking to learn, it’s a good channel to check out.

Jamie Paige

Jamie is one of my more recent finds. She’s a Canadian beauty blogger that does a series called 5 Best and 5 Worst of specific categories that I love watching. She also puts out a ton of content with new beauty products and beauty reviews as well as tutorials. Jamie is just really relatable and seems really down to earth so I really enjoy watching her videos.

Honorable mention: Samantha Ravandahl

I just recently started watching Samantha and I’ve gotta say, I can’t get enough of her videos. She really says it, how it is and is so sarcastic (which is right up my alley) and sometimes it’s really refreshing to hear an unfiltered opinion of what’s going on in the beauty community. She’s a true make up artist as well and does some really cool looks. I don’t always agree with her make up choices, in the way that what seems to work for her product wise, doesn’t always work for me but I do really still enjoy her videos a lot.

There you have it for my list of favorite YouTubers. Who do you guys watch? I’m always looking to find other channels to start watching! I do watch a few other people that didn’t get mentioned today but I was truly picking my favorites. Let me know your recommendations and if you watch any of the people mentioned today.

As always, thanks for reading!
