Pleating For Spring

Nothing says spring is here more than seeing cherry blossoms and dogwood trees blooming around the city. They conveniently also serve as a perfect background for pictures, so I got to take advantage of this for a pretty date night outfit last night.

Last night’s outfit consisted of three things: my favorite black pleated midi skirt from ASOS, a sequin sleeve top from Vici and pink satin Hazel pumps by Sam Edelman. I kept the accessories to a minimum because of the statement sleeves and the pop of pink with the shoes.

My midi skirt is high waisted so my favorite way to wear it is either by tying a top over it like I did in this outfit or by tucking a sweater or longer top into my bra to make it cropped. The second trick was something I learned from Valeria Lipovetsky and if you haven’t checked out her YouTube channel yet, you totally should.

Let’s talk about the satin pumps for a second. The Hazel pumps by Sam Edelman are by far my favorite pair of heels, ever. They are so comfortable, come in literally a million different colors and patterns and are the perfect height. If you are looking for a good, comfortable heel, look no further.

That’s all I have for you guys today with this look. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

As always, thanks for reading!
