Holiday Party Lookbook 2017

Ahh, the holidays. No matter what you celebrate this season, chances are, you’re invited to at least one holiday party whether it’s an ugly sweater party, “Christmas with Friends” (Friendsgiving has a way better ring to it) or a family get together. All of those parties typically have different dress codes. Today, I’ll be showing you my picks for three types of holiday parties: the office party, the more casual get together and the all out formal event.

The Casual Party

I’m the type of person that’s dressed up even with a “casual” dress code so for me, the perfect outfit for this kind of party would be a sweater dress with some OTK boots. A sweater dress will still let you look cute but stay warm and comfortable at the same time. My pick for the sweater dress is this color block red and black piece from ASOS that you can find here. The dress is ultra soft and the red will make you stand out in a crowd and is the perfect color for this time of year. This dress would also look great with ankle booties as well. I recommend sticking to black when it comes to accessorizing this one. My boots are by Steve Madden and you can snag them from here.

The Office Party

It’s fun to dress up “business casual” attire which in my head means fun blazers. Never have I gotten more excited about a blazer than when I found this sequin rose gold piece from Shoedazzle. I paired it up with a faux leather corset (also from Shoedazzle) and some black skinnies and also wore the same OTK boots as the casual outfit. These boots are seriously so comfortable yet so cute that they can fit both categories.

The Formal Party

Last but not least, the formal party where you get to put on a pretty dress and some heels and glam up hair and make up wise (not that you shouldn’t glam up for all the other outfits). For this one, a sparkly dress is always a great option. You want to save the super sparkly dresses (aka sequins and glitter) for New Years Eve but some subtle sparkle can go a long way for a holiday party. Of course, I say subtle but my dress here is pretty damn sparkly. Oh well!

The dress I picked is from Venus and I actually think that’s a great place to get holiday dresses as they have a huge selection and they’re great about keeping items in stock. My dress is still available and is super affordable right now! Find it here for under $40 right now! I paired the dress up with some classic black pumps and some gorgeous gold jewelry I received form Rocksbox. Those who aren’t aware of what Rocksbox is, make sure to read my review and find out how to try it out for a month at no charge!
