Spring SheIn Haul

If you’re looking to upgrade your closet for spring, there’s no better place to do so than SheIn because your spring haul won’t be costing you an arm and a leg. I recently picked up a few pieces from SheIn, ranging from work wear to going out tops and today, I’ll be sharing my picks with you.

I am going to be honest, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m getting tired of constant floral print so anything that was floral, was automatically not considered. I have so many prints in my closet, I wanted something different. For those that aren’t familiar with SheIn, the prices are low and you have to be smart about what you’re choosing when it comes to materials and the quality. Look for pieces that are cotton if you want durability and avoid materials like acrylic, etc.

I was looking for some blouses to upgrade my work closet, some tops for going out with friends and a good transitional dress that can be worn during the spring and summer. I got everything I was looking for.

Work Wear – Snakeskin Blouse

I don’t post a lot of business casual or professional attire on the blog because I wear a white coat over my clothes at work and frankly, don’t wear a lot of business casual out and about on my own. This snakeskin blouse was so different than anything I have in my closet, I wanted to pick it up. I paired it up with some black trousers for the ultimate office look and “topped it off” with suede black pumps. Voila, I’m ready to pretend I don’t stand on my feet all day in the pharmacy and actually get to dress business professional for work ๐Ÿ™‚

The blouse has balloon sleeves and a lot of room in the midsection so you might have to tuck it in if you’re wearing it with high waisted pants of a high waisted skirt. There’s many different ways to wear this but I’d definitely recommend sticking with a solid colored bottom for this one.

Casual Colorblock Shift Dress

Dresses that can be dressed up or down are some of my favorite pieces in my closet. If the dress can look casual with a pair of flats or Keds but then also dressy with a pair of heels or wedges, it deserves a spot in my closet. This one was a gorgeous magenta color with white details that I paired up with wedges for the shoot but will most likely wear with Keds or slip on shoes IRL.

The dress is a really soft and comfortable material that is great for this transitional period between spring and summer. This actually would work as a fall or winter dress as well if you just throw over a long cardigan, some tights and booties.

Asymmetrical Peplum Top

Last but not least we have this top that has many unique features – one shoulder, peplum and a really interesting material. The material has a ribbed feel to it and is definitely on the thicker side so the quality is great – this one will definitely hold up. I paired it up with my pinstriped Wit&Wisdom jeans I kept from my last Trunk Club and a bright yellow heel for a pop of color.

This could have also been worn with black jeans (or any color, really) for a really chic look as well.
