June Beauty Favorites

And just like that, the first month of summer is already over. It hasn’t felt much like summer in Cincinnati until recently, so I’ve been enjoying the sunshine. Today, we are going to talk about some favorites of the month of June. This time, we are only talking about make up.

While the past few months have been all about skincare, recently I have switched back to make up. Not that I don’t love a good skincare find like every other girl out there, but make up has really been the focus lately. Let’s jump into it…

Make Up Favorites

Becca “Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder” – I have been wanting to try out this powder for months because I was super intrigued about how a powder could possibly feel “wet” on your skin and I was not disappointed. This powder locks in your concealer and also smoothes out your undereye area like no other powder I’ve ever tried. It’s translucent, so you don’t have to match your shade and it doesn’t create any flash back in pictures. This has pretty much been the only powder I’ve used over the past two months or so.

Fenty Beauty “Gloss Bomb” Lip Gloss – I have switched recently from being a lipstick girl to being more of a gloss girl. I’m sure this is just a temporary change but I’m enjoying it while it lasts. Sometimes, Cincy makes it hard to enjoy lipstick because of how windy it is and no one likes to have hair stick to their lipgloss but occasionally, it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for beauty. I’ve heard people talking about the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs for a while and decided it was time I check out what the hype is all about. I was not disappointed. In fact, I am probably going to buy the other two shades this comes in because this is one of the best lipgloss formulas I’ve ever tried. I love how large the doefoot applicator is – makes for a really easy application. I also love the scent and “flavor” of this gloss. It’s very pleasant while not being overbearing. I have this in the color “Fenty Glow”. I would highly recommend trying this if you haven’t already.

Tarte “Double Duty Beauty” Blush Palette – While everyone already knows that Tarte makes the best blushes (Amazonian clay anyone?), this palette is a work of art. This has the prettiest soft rosy pink blush shade, mauve blush shade and peachy pink blush shade I’ve ever seen. I literally can probably get rid of all my other blushes if I just have this palette. Quality is great as always and the pan sizes are huge. This will probably last me forever and unless it’s no longer available, I will be buying this again when I hit pan.

Too Faced “Damn Girl” Mascara – I am not a fan of the Better Than Sex mascara. I know, shocking, since literally everyone and their mom raves about that mascara all the time and is probably the cult favorite of the moment. I just never liked how clumpy my lashes looked with it and how little length I got. This mascara, is a whole other story. This is Too Faced’s latest “baby” and this mascara is making waves for a reason. This has a huge wand which creates a ton of volume. I will say, the wand is so large that I can’t use it for bottom lashes and have to use a different mascara for that purpose. The staying power is also pretty impressive as the lash effect lasts all day. If you’re into high end mascara, hell, even if you’re not, check this out.

Touch In Sol “No Poreblem Primer” – So this primer almost ended up on a friend’s vanity because after the first time I used it, I happened to break up in bumps on my forehead and decided to blame this primer. After reluctantly trying out again a few weeks later and realizing that it, indeed, did not actually cause my break out, I started using it regularly. I am so happy I gave this primer another chance because it is so good! It literally smoothes your skin to create a perfect canvas for applying foundation and hydrates at the same time. If you have pore issues, this is also going to hide those bad boys (hence the name of the primer – no poreblem). Highly recommend picking this up.

That’s all I have for you guys! Let me know if there’s any new make up you think I should try and if you’ve tried any of the aforementioned products, what you think!

As always, thanks for reading!

I’ve been wanting to try that Becca powder forever, It sounds so interesting! Glosses are definitely having a moment this summer. I need to try the gloss bombs too. My go to gloss right now is the Becca Glow Gloss.

I also didn’t like the Too Faced BTS mascara! I thought I was the only one, it flakes everywhere on me. I’m glad to hear that their new one is better! x
