OOTD: Asymmetrical Sweater

Today’s outfit of the day is going to be focusing on asymmetrical sweaters. I like to refer to these as “mullet” sweaters since they’re short in the front and long in the back. I have been seeing these at several places lately and do think they’re a nice spin on the classic sweater that you see everywhere during this season. I personally do prefer for them to be a little longer in the front so that they could be worn with leggings but most that I’ve seen are not so I’ve been pairing those up with skinny jeans instead.

The first look is a more casual way to wear this kind of sweater – paired up with jeans and some booties. Like I mentioned earlier, if the sweater isn’t long enough in the front, I usually wear it with jeans. I got the white sweater from Express and have worn it several times already. It is so comfortable and I always get compliments when I wear it. Unfortunately, that sweater is no longer available but I found a similar one at Nordstrom that you can find here (and the price is hard to beat). These side zip hi-lo sweaters from Express are also ultra soft and comfortable and I definitely recommend getting one of these as well.

Even though this is just an OOTD post, I will be showing two examples of the asymmetrical sweaters since I personally own two of the kind. This one is from Express as well and was paired up with leather leggings and OTK boots for more of a going out look for those chilly nights coming up.  I absolutely love wearing black on black and think it looks so good when going out. I especially love completing a black on black look with OTK boots in the winter and fall. My boots are from Shoedazzle and are still available on the website if you’re a member but I’ve seen so many OTK options recently from Steve Madden and on 6pm so there are definitely options out there for everyone.

As always, I hope this was helpful and provided some inspiration and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @styleprn.
