Is it too early to start looking at spring trends yet? With the mild winter we’ve had so far, it’s been easy to start looking into florals and other trends that are more geared towards spring. In today’s Outfit of the Day, the focus is on what can be considered an unlikely duo. Florals are seen as a very girly style to wear and combat boots are generally considered more masculine and combining the two may seem odd but in this outfit, the two work together quite well.
The “Shay” hoodie is from Vici and can be found here. It is one of my favorite pieces I’ve bought in a long time and I already know I will be wearing it quite a bit in the next few months. It is ultra soft and comfortable and the muted colors on it make it a perfect “neutral” (yes, patterns can be neutrals if in the right color scheme). I personally prefer pairing the hoodie with black denim but it can truly go with anything – jeans, leggings, whatever you prefer.
Combat boots are my favorite to wear when going to parks or going on walks during this time of year. Most of my other boots and booties have heels so when I need to be comfortable, I almost always reach for combat boots.
