I am a big fan of vests even though at times, I find them to be a bit intimidating as I do think they are a little harder to style than your average piece of clothing. With vests, you have to consider whether they should be the center of the outfit or whether you want to put the emphasis on the item underneath and spotlight either sleeves or the neckline.
With this vest from Vici Collection, it was obvious what was going to be in the spotlight. The second I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It is one of the most unique pieces I own and will definitely get worn quite a bit during this fall/winter season. A great thing about this vest is that the fur collar comes off and you can also just wear this as a cargo vest. This was something I didn’t even realize when I first ordered the piece. I ordered mine in a size small but the extra small would have fit just fine as well so keep that in mind if you’re considering snagging this piece.
I decided to pair this up with a white V-neck long sleeve tee (similarly to how Vici styled it) because as I mentioned earlier, you don’t want to take away from the vest itself. Other great colors to layer under this vest would have been black or gray but I would still recommend sticking with a solid tee and not wearing any kind of design or pattern underneath.
I finished the look off with some oxblood booties and this bag, some light distressed denim and some fall inspired make up (hello brownish-red lipstick shades!). This is also my first look featuring my newly chopped locks which was a decision solely for the purpose of growing out my hair. I am currently trying to bring my hair back to life after years of heat styling, coloring and other ways of torture, and the first step had to be the cut. Now, with multiple bottles and months worth of Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins and many hair masks, I am ready to get this hair nice, long and healthy. If I am successful with my plan, I will share my story, but I am someone that’s had the same hair length for years due to breakage and decided it’s time to do something about it.
Anyway, that’s all I have for this look and as always, thank you so much for reading! I will be back later this week with my September Empties so look out for that!
