Body (Suit) Up for Fall

As someone with limited storage space, I recently had to switch my closet out to my fall/winter pieces which has been a major struggle due to Cincinnati weather still being under the impression that it’s summer. I’ve been leaning more towards light fall pieces and mixing them up with summer pieces to stay cool during the day.

Bodysuits have been all the rage for the last few months as many retailers have been releasing their versions of it and today, I’m sharing my pick of how to style one during the fall. My bodysuit from Tobi is a perfect layering piece as it gives you a completely blank canvas to style and add whatever you could possibly want to it. This piece can be styled with skirts, jeans, leggings, and pretty much whatever else you can imagine. That being said, the bodysuit itself is still unique thanks to the cut out pieces on the side and in the back. The bodysuit also comes in black which could definitely be the center of a very chic outfit. Tobi is a great place for on trend pieces such as bodysuits and if you aren’t familiar with the website, definitely check it out. The quality of the items is great and very fair for the price. I’m definitely a fan.

Another item from Tobi that will get lots of wear this fall and winter for me is this lace up skirt. The skirt is high waisted and would look perfect with booties or flats. I recommend pairing it up with some polka dot tights and combat boots for an alternative look or sticking with heeled booties the same way I styled it. This skirt is very versatile and can be worn for grungy looks as well as for a night out dancing. It was a perfect pairing for the body suit as it still allowed the cut outs to be visible. If you pick up the body suit in black and pair it up with the skirt to go with an all black look, it would also look great for a night out.

As far as the kimono goes – I knew I needed something that was open since I wanted the details from the bodysuit to still be visible. This is where the olive kimono from Forever 21 came in. The kimono itself is no longer available but I found a very similar one here (plus the additional embroidery which is very on trend right now). My booties were from ShoeDazzle from a few seasons ago but I found an amazing version by Sole Society on their website that should definitely be checked out.
