Last month’s empties coming at you a bit later than usual but my New York trip is responsible for that. My next post will be dedicated to the wonder that is New York during the holidays but first, let’s catch up on the products I used up last month.
This is probably the most empties I’ve ever had in one month. November is bringing you three holy grail products and some other items I loved and a few that weren’t as big of a hit for me. Also, I did not plan on all my products to only be black and white but it made for a more aesthetically pleasing picture so I’m not mad about it. Now, let’s get into it…
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – First up, let’s talk about my holy grail face cleanser. I’ve mentioned this magical cleanser in the past but it’s time to talk about it again. This is the. best.cleanser.ever. It takes off everything and does it so gently that you can fully keep your eyes open the whole time without any stinging. The consistency is really unique too (refer to the name – jelly). This stuff is the bomb.
Would I re-purchase? Already have
Dr.Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator – If you’re one of my long time readers, you already know how I feel about Dr.Brandt products. Typically, Dr.Brandt can do no wrong. I received this product in one of my subscription boxes and while I think it was a good exfoliator, it is not worth $79 to me. I have other exfoliators that I like just as much if not more that cost considerably less. If you can snag this as a sample or a point perk though, go for it. It’s a good exfoliator still, just pricey.
Would I re-purchase? Probably not.
Fresh Rose Face Mask – The more Fresh products I try, the more in love I become with the brand. This face mask will make your skin so vibrant and gorgeous. You will also feel super luxurious thanks to the rose petals infused into the mask. The product is pricey if you’re buying full size but you can also snag a smaller jar for $25 and still get plenty of uses out of it.
Would I re-purchase? Absolutely
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water – It probably took me over a year to finish this product but it wasn’t because I didn’t like it. I have quite a few finishing and priming sprays so it takes me a while to go through them. This one can be used as a both, a primer spray and a setting spray and I alternated between the two. The mist is pretty fine and the nozzle is easy to use (one of the most important aspects of a setting spray) but this product overall did not blow me away.
Would I re-purchase? Probably not.
Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple volume plumping lash primer – This product has also gotten multiple mentions on the blog and a special shout out on my Top 5 Mascaras post. I literally use this product every single day before applying mascara. It makes my lashes look fuller and it also nourishes them and makes them longer and fuller in real life as well, without the mascara. I really think it’s a must have for everyone.
Would I re-purchase? Already did.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – Another holy grail product for me (told you there’s a lot of those today). This is the best eyeliner for anyone that likes to do a cat eye or a winged liner. The brush makes it so easy to do a perfect wing and the formula is very black and very matte. I will probably never be able to use another eyeliner again because I’m forever ruined and spoiled by this one. The one complaint that I do have about this eyeliner though is that you have to replace it pretty much every other month and with a $20 price tag, that gets pretty expensive.
Would I re-purchase? Already did.
It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – I’m yet to ever have to re-purchase this mascara because subscription boxes love to send it out. This mascara is great for length and drama. It does dry out quicker than most mascaras though which is the only reason I wouldn’t re-purchase.
Would I re-purchase? No.
Make Up Forever Excessive Lash Mascara – Now here’s a product that I wasn’t super in love with. This mascara wasn’t bad but I was a bit disappointed by it. The brush is so different than any mascara I’ve ever used so initially, I was super excited to try it. I will say that my lashes never clumped with this one but it also didn’t do too much for length or volume.
Would I re-purchase? No.
That’s all I have for my November Empties. A lot of my favorites were mentioned today and almost no duds so I’d say the month was a success! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think of them!

Great empties post. I liked the Smashbox primer water well enough but I’m just starting to doubt whether these products actually do anything for me!

I liked it a lot at first too but the more I used it the more I questioned whether or not it was actually doing anything for me. Thanks for reading!
