February Empties

Being gone for more than half of the month, I wasn’t expecting to have many empties, but, as usual, I was pleasantly surprised at how many items I ended up with. I think most beauty lovers would agree with me about there being a weird kind of excitement every time you finish off a product. When there’s so much to try – it’s hard to use up a lot of products! Being a beauty subscription junkie, I do end up with a lot of trial size products which helps me keep this series going.

So let’s get into the products I used up in the month of February…

Soap & Glory “Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk” – I’ve had this bottle for what feels like forever and I can actually track it right back to when I bought it because this was part of my Soap & Glory Brand Spotlight. This cleansing milk is so good! It smells amazing (if you like the smell of peaches that is) and does a great job taking off make up and leaving your face feeling ultra clean. My one complaint about this one is if it gets in your eyes, you will pay for it because it will burnnnn. So yeah, definitely be careful when you are washing your face with this stuff.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea “Deep Dive Cleansing Gel” – Yes, another cleansing product (and this isn’t even where it stops). This one was part of a Rainforest of the Sea bundle I purchased during the Sephora VIB Rouge sale last year and have been using for a few months now. This is a very gentle cleanser – it has the consistency of a gel but a runny kind of gel. It did a great job taking off my make up so I was pleased with this one. I would purchase again.

Formula 10.0.6 “So Totally Clean Micellar Water” – I am all about micellar waters for taking off eye make up and this one did a great job doing just that. I am a die-hard Bioderma fan and will always stand by the fact that no micellar water I’ve ever tried has come even close but this one is a great option if you don’t have access to Bioderma and don’t want to spend a lot of money on a good micellar water.

Frizz Ease 10 Day Tamer – So this is a product that claims to calm frizz for up to 10 days (with at least 5 washes in between each use) and I can’t say it didn’t work but I also can’t say I saw amazing results from it. It’s easy to apply – you soak your hair in this stuff for about 10 minutes before washing your hair. I suppose my hair was a bit less frizzy after using this stuff but you’re not going to get a post keratin-treatment like effect. Not that I was expecting that, but I do wish it did a little more for me.

Ren “Evercalm” Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask – I talked about this product in my January Empties so head over here to read that review. I did use up another tube if that says anything about how much I like this product.

thisworks “In Transit Camera Close-Up Mask, Moisturizer and Primer In One” – I believe this was sent to me in my Ipsy bag and sounded like a miracle product. Sounded like one but didn’t live up to be. I thought this was just okay. I didn’t like the consistency as it was a bit thick and dry and had a very strong smell. It didn’t seem to moisturize my skin that much and worked okay as a primer. So overall, I wasn’t too impressed.

L’oreal “Lash Paradise Mascara”– This is one of my favorite mascaras ever. In fact, it made my Top 5 Mascaras list and continues to stay there. I will keep re-purchasing this one time after time. This makes your lashes look so thick and so long and will never clump up on you. Everything you could ever want in a mascara.
