Top 5 Face Masks

I am a big fan of face masks. Hydrating, pore-eliminating, dew-multiplying, you know, all the kinds. I’ve tried a lot of face masks in the last few years. They’ve been pretty much everywhere with beauty companies coming out with new ones left and right to keep up with the face mask phenomenon that’s been going on.  So today, I’ll be sharing my top 5 favorite ones I’ve tried and why I like them best.

I use face masks twice a week. I’m a religious #maskmonday supporter and my second mask usually comes in later in the week. I sometimes replace my second face mask with a sheet mask instead. Today, I’ll only be talking about face masks that come in an actual jar since sheet masks deserve their own post. You guys think that’s fair?

Some of these masks I’ve been using for years and some (well, one) is pretty much brand new to me but has already made a huge impression. So without further ado, let’s get into my top 5 face masks!

GlamGlow Thirsty Mud – This mask is by far my favorite one for when I need hydrating. In the winter, when the cold weather is killing my skin or or after a long plane ride, this mask will get your skin not just back to normal but to looking plump and hydrated. This mask is pretty heavy duty, so I save it for when my skin is crying out for help. You can use it as a face mask and leave it on for 20 minutes or you can apply a light layer and leave it on overnight like a sleeping mask. It smells like coconuts too which is a plus if you’re into that.  It’s by far the most expensive mask I’ll talk about today but I truly think it’s worth the investment.

Farmacy Honey Potion – This mask warms up as you put it on your skin and is by far my favorite mask if solely judging by application process. You massage the mask into your face for 1-2 minutes to let it heat up and then leave it on for 10-15 minutes. This mask leaves your skin looking dewy but also adds smoothness and helps with texture. A little lasts a long time as I still have only ever gotten the travel size version and have been able to use two little jars over a year. My first full size of this mask is actually currently en route to me.

Fresh Rose Face Mask – This mask infused with real rose petals so yes, it is very pretty. This leaves a beautiful glow to your skin and tones and hydrates as well. Leave this one on for 10 minutes then wash off with either a warm towel ( or muslin cloth) or water.

Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding – Now for those who like pore-eliminating masks. This one by Boscia is a mix of white and black charcoal that you mix on your face to create a gray consistency then leave on for 10-15 minutes. It will greatly reduce the appearance of any pores and will leave your skin feeling ultra smooth. I spot treat with this one and only apply it to areas that need it, not to my whole face.

Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask – This is the most recent addition to my mask collection and I can’t believe it’s already made the top 5. This one is so much fun when it comes to application as it literally bubbles on your face. I bought this on Amazon and will continue buying because this stuff is the bomb. One, it’s fun to apply as I’ve already mentioned. Two, my face has never felt softer then after washing off this mask. Literally, never. I don’t know what kind of magic is in this mask, but I’m into it. This is also very affordable, think drug store mask pricing.

That’s all I have for you guys for my favorite face masks! Would you like to see a separate top 5 for the sheet masks? Let me know in the comments below! I’ll happily round those up and pick my favorite ones.

As always, thanks for reading!

  1. I love, love, love the Fresh Rose Face Mask! Despite not loving rose scents, that one really doesn’t bother me! And I’ve never tried anything from Glam Glow, though I’ve always wanted to, so I may have to add that to my next Sephora order! Thanks for sharing! xo
