June Empties

June was a good month for empties. Good in terms of variety. There were some skincare products, make up products and hair products that got used up. There were also not too many products which I always like because it lets me go into a little more detail with each one. So let’s just leave it at that and dive right in…

June Empties

Make Up

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer – This used to be my favorite concealer ever before I discovered the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. That being said, I still love this concealer and have already repurchased. This concealer does have a lot of coverage. Not as much as the Tarte Shape Tape concealer or the It Cosmetics one but it’s enough for me, especially on days I want a more “natural” look. I would definitely recommend this one, still.

L’oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation – I honestly don’t think I emptied out the container but due to how long I’ve had this, I think the color turned a bit and now doesn’t match my skin very well so it was time to toss. I’m the worst when it comes to throwing stuff out based on the recommended “expiration date” for make up because when you have this much stuff, you’re not going to use the stuff up.  I loved this foundation and will definitely re-purchase. It leaves your skin super glowy, has great coverage and since it’s from the drugstore, is super affordable.

Skincare

Tarte Frixxxtion Stick Exfoliating Cleanser – I received this in a Sephora Play! Box months back and I loved this little thing. It’s a little exfoliating stick that is absolutely perfect for traveling because of how compact it is and because of the stick form. No spilling to worry about, no product busted in your make up bag. This is also a super gentle exfoliator so if you have sensitive skin or are looking for a product to use in between your regular exfoliator for a light exfoliation, pick this up.

Leaders Aloe Soothing Renewal Mask – I found this at the K beauty section in Ulta and holy crap, if you’re looking for some extreme hydration, look no further. This mask leaves your skin looking wet for literally hours after you take this off. I’ve never seen anything like this. Like literally, even after I took the mask off and attempted to rub the leftover product in, I still looked like I just doused my face in it. This is some heavy duty stuff. I will say, I did like how my skin looked the next day so I’d say this was a good mask.

bioBelle Primer Facial Mask – This is a quick sheet mask that’s meant to prep your skin for make up so it’s not one of those Sunday night, chilling with your favorite show and a cup of tea type mask, it’s a I’m about to go to an event and need my skin to look flawless ASAP kind of mask. I did like this one a lot. This has all kinds of good stuff in it (vitamin C, tea tree oil, rosehip extract) and does a great job making your skin look extra flawless prior to applying makeup.

Hair

DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture Mask – So this is a hair mask that I used in the shower in place of conditioner (aka the way I always use hair masks) whenever I would wear my hair curly. I will say, my curls did look a little more hydrated after using this mask and it wasn’t too heavy or difficult to rinse out, so I would say it worked pretty well for me. I have so many other hair masks right now that I don’t think I’ll re-purchase but I did like this mask.

Marc Anthony Argan Oil 3 Day Smooth Cream – This was part of my blowout routine for a few months as a little goes a long way on this product. It did help my hair stay smooth and kept frizz at bay (to a certain extent) but it also didn’t blow me away (get it – cause it’s part of my blow out routine). I think I’ll try out another product before I’d go to purchasing the full size of this one.

  1. You know I have never tried the Urban Decay concealer but have always wanted to give it a whirl, maybe next time I’m in Ulta, I’ll pick it up! And I’ve heard really good things about the DevaCurl line….maybe one day I’ll bite the bullet and test it out! Thanks for sharing! xo
