Coming to you a little later than usual but it’s time to talk about last month’s empties. There were a lot last month. Like a lot. So, I hope you’re ready for lots of product reviews cause here they come!
Butter London Double Decker Lashes – I received this product in my Boxycharm which I was pretty excited about because I love trying new mascara. I was however, greatly disappointed because this was pretty dry and very clumpy. I think I only tried using this a few times before I decided I just couldn’t force myself to use this anymore. Save yourself the $20.
MAC Eyebrow Definer – Also a Boxycharm product. This one made it very easy to overdraw your eyebrows so I had to learn quickly to use a very light hand. Once I used this a few times and figured out the best way to use it, I did like this pencil. It’s very thin which makes it easy to be more precise. I do think I’ll be sticking to my ABH Brow Pencil though and won’t be repurchasing.
No 7 Airbrush Away Primer – If you read my Top 5 Primers post, you know this is one of my favorites. This primer is affordable, available at the drugstore, makes your skin look flawless and makes your foundation last forever. Do I really need to say more?
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer– I got this one so long ago, I had to dig through my Amazon order history to try to figure out what this concealer was called because the name rubbed off completely. This is a great affordable concealer that provides a lot of coverage without ever making you look cakey. I would highly recommend it and would definitely re-purchase.
Lush R&B Hair Moisturizer – I couldn’t wait to try this stuff out because I read about how it changes curly haired girls’ lives but when I finally got my hands on it, the only thing I could focus on was the scent. This smelled so strong that I had to layer it with stronger smelling products on top just to mask this smell. I will not be repurchasing because it didn’t make a huge difference for my hair and that smell was a major no for me.
Briogeo Quinoa Frizz Control Gel – This one isn’t technically an empty but a product I no longer will waste my time on. This gel makes your hair look crunchy (not as crunchy as back in the day when no one has perfected hair gel yet) and does no favors for people who are not looking for that wet curls look. I do not fall into that category so I decided that instead of wasting shelf space with this stuff, it was time to toss it.
The Body Shop Seaweed Cleanser – I loved this cleanser. It did a great job getting all the make up off without irritating my skin at all. You don’t need a whole lot either so the bottle lasts a long time.
Laneige Moisturizing Foam Cleanser – Another product I just had to stop using. I usually love everything by Laneige but this cleanser irritated my eyes SO bad every time I used this that I just couldn’t do it anymore. Literally, no matter how hard I tried to avoid my eyes, this always snuck in and burned the crap out of them. No thank you.
H2O Matcha Aquadefense Moisturizer – This was a good moisturizer but a little too thick for summer. I would reserve this for fall – early winter time when it’s cold out but not too crazy yet. This doesn’t have much of a scent which I appreciate in moisturizers.
TonyMoly Green Tea Moisturizer – I absolutely loved this moisturizer! It was super light and perfect for summer yet still really hydrating. It turned into a watery consistency as soon as you started rubbing it in which was a really refreshing and cooling feeling. I would highly recommend this one!
First Aid Beauty Hydrating Serum – This serum was different than any other serum I’ve ever tried. It came out in almost a jelly like consistency but was really easy to distribute evenly and get great hydration. I really liked this stuff and am considering buying the full size.
St.Tropez In Shower Self Tanning Lotion – I was not a fan of this stuff at all. First of all, the application process was just not well thought out. Who wants to stand in the shower for 3 minutes without water on, shivering, waiting for this stuff to activate? I also did not see enough of a result to be willing to put up with that so I’ll stick to my Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water.
Rituals Body Wash – Last but not least, this amazing body wash. Omg guys, this stuff smells divine! A friend got this for me as a gift from Germany and I was so sad thinking that once I ran out of this stuff, that was it but I actually ended up finding it at Macy’s and have already bought myself a new bottle. If you want your showers to feel like a luxurious experience, pick this up. You won’t regret it.
Told you guys that this was going to be a long one! I typically try not to make my empties this long but I had so many products that I wanted to talk about I decided to make an exception! Thanks for sticking around to those who made it to the end!
Let me know if you guys have tried any of these products and your thoughts! 😊
