It’s a new month which means time to talk favorites! October flew by and next thing you know, the holidays will be upon us. I definitely kept busy this month – with a Chicago trip, a lights festival in Cincinnati, discovering some new restaurants and a (long) overdue haircut. As far as favorites go, this month was also full of trying new products and re-discovering my love for some old ones. So, let’s get into the favorites….
Beauty
Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner – It’s probably too early to say that this is my new favorite conditioner, but I’m going to go ahead and say it anyway. If you guys follow BuzzFeed, you know they frequently post “(Random Number) Products on Amazon Our Readers Are Loving Right Now” and I am constantly getting sucked in and buying 2-3 items per post. Well, one of those posts talked about a conditioner that people are raving about because of how shiny and healthy it makes your hair look. I am all about shiny and healthy hair so I of course, went ahead and ordered this magic conditioner – not to be disappointed! This conditioner is amazing! I noticed results after the first wash. I let it sit in my hair for at least 5 minutes after shampooing and make sure I rinse it out well and the results are evident as soon as your hair dries. It’s free of sulfates and other harmful ingredients and full of amino acid proteins. I definitely recommend picking this up.

Dry Bar Mudslide Nourishing Mask – This hair mask will do wonders for your hair if it is over-processed, colored and/or damaged. It is very thick in consistency so definitely make sure you take your time washing it out. After use, your hair will be softer, shinier and overall easier to work with. My hair has never looked as good as it has recently since I’ve started using this mask and the conditioner mentioned above. My one complaint about this conditioner is the container – it is very bulky and takes up a lot of space, so I don’t love that but the results from it are fantastic, so I can easily overlook it. I’m not sure if it’s exclusive to Ulta (Sephora carries the brand but not this product) but you can find it there and from Dry Bar’s website. It’s definitely on the pricier side but I think it’s worth the money.
Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment – I received a (very generous) sample of this product in a Sephora Play! Box and have been using it for a few months now. This mask comes in a black and white swirled consistency and you rub it together on your face to make it a gray consistency. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes then wash off to find your face smoother, your pores nowhere to be found and your skin cleansed of any impurities. Charcoal is in so many products now because it’s so great at absorbing dirt and impurities. Have you heard of using crushed charcoal to whiten your teeth? It’s a very cheap and effective method to whiten and if you haven’t heard of it, Google it.
Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist – If you missed it last month, this mist was the superstar of my Pixi Brand Spotlight. This hydrating mist is one of my new favorite products and with the cold weather quickly coming our way, the mist is getting more use every day. I spray this either before my moisturizer or in place of it and this leaves my skin so hydrated and feeling so refreshed. Snag this at your local Target or from the Pixi website.
Miscellaneous
The month was off to a great start for me thanks to this article published by Cincy Chic about Style As Needed. I was so excited to be featured and am so thankful to Cincy Chic for spotlighting my blog!
A friend of mine shared this video with me about having an “Instagram Husband” and for all of you whose significant other/spouse is your blog photographer, it is a must watch. My husband definitely got a kick out of it.
So, there you have it for my October Favorites! Let me know what your favorites were this month and if you have tried any of these products! As always, thanks for reading!

I’ve had it for a few weeks and it barely look like I’ve made a dent in it! I wash my hair about 2 (max 3) times a week and I think this is going to last me for a while!

You should! It’s SO good! And I think it’s going to be a great thing to own for the winter since the cold air can dry out the skin!
