Happy Halloween! I can’t believe November starts tomorrow and all the holidays are almost among us. October was a really exciting month for me, because at the beginning of the month I got to go back to my home country of Kazakhstan and spend some time with family and friends. The rest of the month was a blur with work and other things but, overall, I would say it was a great month for me. With France in September and Kazakhstan in October, this fall has treated me well.
I have a few great make up items to share today from this month some of which have been sneaking into my favorites list over a few months and some that are brand new to me. With the recent Sephora sale and the Ulta 20% off sale as well, it’s been a big month for me greatly expanding my already extensive make up collection, so, I think the next few months will have some great favorites as well! So, let’s get into what I was loving this month…
Glossier Priming Moisturizer – I actually ordered this in a Glossier “pack” months ago (and if you’ve shopped on Glossier, you’re familiar with the packs) and only recently truly started using it and realized I’ve been missing out. This is a very hydrating primer that can be used in place of a moisturizer as well. I like all the moisturization I can get, so I still use a moisturizer before this primer, but the combination works especially well for my skin. This looks great under every foundation I’ve tried it with, so I would highly recommend this.
L’oreal Lumi Cushion Foundation – This is probably one of my favorite foundations, ever. It makes my skin look absolutely flawless and hydrated and while I used to think this was a great summer foundation, now I’m thinking it’s even better for winter because your skin needs all the extra hydration it can get. I use my oval brush to apply this but this comes with an applicator that actually isn’t half bad.
Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette – I picked this up during the last Sephora sale and have been playing around with it ever since and I continue to be impressed with the pigmentation and the quality of this palette. In my opinion, Urban Decay palettes are some of the best quality eyeshadow palettes (RIP Naked palette). If you want to have a huge variety of color, good transition shades and great shimmers, pick up this palette. With the extra 20% this weekend for Rouge members at Sephora, it’s a great time to pick up something like this.
Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara – I picked this up while we were in France because I constantly hear Kathleen Lights raving about this mascara but have never seen any Kiko products in the US. It cost me a whopping $3 (!!!) and has been one of my most used mascaras ever since I picked it up. Unfortunately, if you buy it online here it’s a lot more expensive than what I got it for in France. This lengthens your lashes but doesn’t add too much volume. So, it’s not my go to mascara for going out or when I want super big lashes but it’s great for every day.
Beatuty Blender Instaclean – This is for those of us who aren’t very good at cleaning beauty sponges and brushes. This is a spray for your beauty sponge that you use to saturate the entire sponge then take a dry paper towel and press on the sponge and literally everything comes out of it. This is the best cleaning tool for a beauty sponge I’ve ever tried. My beauty blender literally looks new after I use this spray.
That’s all I have for you guys as far as favorites go. Let me know what you were loving this month and I hope everyone has a happy Halloween!
As always, thanks for reading!
