Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale – My Picks/Recommendations

The Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale comes twice a year and my wallet has come to hate this semi-annual tradition because of the number of Ulta stops and online orders during this time. Sometimes multiple consecutive days in a row. Or you know, most of the time this sale is going on … Clearly, there’s a lot to snag during these sales.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty – this is a sale that goes on for 21 days (duh) and each day has a different deal on different products. There are usually two featured products available to everyone, one for platinum members or diamond members and an online only item. These items are heavily discounted during this sale. By heavily, I mean 50%  off. This is a great time to snag items you’ve been eyeing but didn’t want to spend your hard earned money on in case they didn’t work out for you. This is also a great time to re-stock your beloved items that are well known to you as well. The great thing about this sale is that whoever is in charge of picking the items, knows what they’re doing. There’s always a great variety of hot sellers, expensive skincare items that most people want to get their hands on and other items that are more “experimental” and that people are more likely to buy if they’re on sale. So today, I’m going to tell you what my picks are for each day of the sale and what I would recommend picking up.

Week 1 : March 17 – March 23rd

March 17: The first day of the sale. My pick is the“Tarte” Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara (reg. $23, sale price $11) which is great for every day. It’s not clumpy at all and is very lengthening.  If you’re a Diamond or Platinum insider, the Benefit PoreFessional primer (reg. $32, sale price $16) will also be on sale that day.

March 18: There are actually quite a few things to buy on this day. The Murad cleanser (reg. $39, sale price $19.50) is something I use daily in the shower and the one that’s on sale on this day also has anti-aging benefits. There is also a Smashbox contour kit (reg. $39, sale price $19.50) that looks quite intriguing that I think I will be picking up on this day. Many people rave about the Desi x Katy “Dose of Colors” palette (reg. $55, sale price $27.50) but I personally was not a fan of their last palette so I will be passing on this.

March 19: The only thing that drew my attention on this day was the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (reg. $24-27, sale price $12-13.50) . This can be used as a setting powder and has no flashback, so it’s a good one to use for a flawless looking finish.

March 20: The MAC Pro-long Paint Pots (reg. $22, sale price $11) used to be the equivalent of what the Urban Decay Primer Potion is now. Everyone used it to set their eyeshadow. I actually have never tried it before so I may snag one on this day.

March 21: The Becca Backlight Filter Primer (reg. $39, sale price $19) is amazing and I am so excited that it’s part of the sale because this conveniently happened right when I ran out. This primer goes on lavender, gives your skin the most beautiful glow and prolongs your foundation wear. Don’t hesitate on this one.

March 22: I will be picking up the Urban Decay Primer Potion(reg. $24, sale price $12) on this day because it’s the only eyeshadow primer I use but I will also be snagging the Dr.Brandt Needles No More serum (reg. $89, sale price $44.50) for expression lines because your girl is getting older and those forehead wrinkles don’t seem to be going anywhere.

March 23: Honestly, I won’t be picking up anything on this day but people absolutely love the Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills (reg. $21, sale price $10.50) so if you’re going to be picking something up, that seems to be the best option on this day.

Week 2: March 24 – March 30th

March 24: The Murad Cleanser (the regular version, not the angi aging) is $15 this day and will definitely be something I will be stocking up on. This cleanser his keeps my skin looking clear and I re-purchase this every time I run out. There are also It Cosmetics brushes (reg. $36, sale $18) on sale which are some of the most hyped up brushes in the cosmetics world right now so not a bad time to try them out since they’ll be 50% off.

March 25: The Mac Fix + ( reg. $27, sale $13.50) sprays are great as setting sprays but are even more useful to intensify eye shadows and loose pigments. Spray this on your brush after picking up your eyeshadow and get ready for major intensification of the color. This is a must have for all make up junkies.

March 26: Ofra highlighters (reg. $29, sale $14.50) are considered to be one of the best on the market so what a good time to pick this collaboration with Nikkie Tutorials up to see for yourself.

March 27: Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer (reg.$42, sale $22) is an awesome primer for those with dry skin. It is very hydrating and works under almost all foundations. Nudestix lip products (reg.$26, sale $13) are pretty nice as well (the shade Mystic is my personal favorite).

March 28: Buxom lip glosses (reg. $21, sale $10.50) are the bomb so I highly recommend picking some up. If you’re only going to get one, get either White Russian or Blushing Margarita.

March 29: Tarte has great quality eyeshadows and the Toasted palette (reg. $39, sale $19.50) is every warm-toned lovers’ dream.

March 30: Stila All Day Liners (reg. $22, sale $11) are very long lasting (hence the name) and very black. I will be picking up one for sure.

Week 3: March 31st – April 6th

March 31: The Urban Decay single shadows (including the Moondust shadows) are on sale this day for $10-11 instead of $20-22 and the quality is top notch. I’ve been eyeing Diamond Dog for a while so I think it’s finally time it comes home.

April 1: The Touch In Sol No Poreblem primer (reg.$18, sale $9) is awesome for everyone and not just those with “pore problems”. This smooths out your entire complexion and makes for a flawless finish. Highly, highly recommend trying this out.

April 2: I actually haven’t personally tried Lime Crime shadows (reg. $39, sale $18) but have heard great things so this is a good time to pick one up and find out for myself what I think about these shadows.

April 3: If you haven’t tried Boscia yet, you’re missing out. This skincare brand is so innovative and has such high quality products, I think all skincare junkies should be all over it. This is a great time to dip your toes into the brand because the kit that’s on sale this day has some of their best products including MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil, Detoxifying Black Cleanser, Luminizing Black Mask and Charcoal Pore Pudding for $22.50!

April 4: All Buxom palettes (reg. $40, sale $20) are 50% off and they don’t get nearly enough hype. They’re very pigmented, have beautiful colors and great mattes and shimmers.

April 5: I haven’t actually tried any products on this day but if I were to pick something up, it would be the Too Faced bronzers (reg. $30, sale $15). They look really nice and have beautiful packaging (which is always a plus).

April 6: The very last day of the sale! I would pick up the Lorac Pro 3 palette (reg. $44, sale $22) on this day because Lorac palettes are bomb and this one has a nice range of colors.

So there’s my break down of the 21 Days of Beauty Sale! What are you most excited to pick up? The days I’m definitely looking the most forward to are the days I can re-stock on my Murad cleanser, my Becca primer and the Buxom glosses!

As always, thank you for reading!

I was literally thinking of buying that EXACT Becca primer today.. oh gosh now that I know you love it how can I resist??? I tend to have oily t-zone, but other parts of my face are dry and sometimes look patchy under makeup! do you notice it getting greasy as the day goes on?
