Spring Shoe Haul

Ok, so calling this a shoe haul might be a bit of an exaggeration considering there are two pairs of shoes BUT they are awesome so I decided they get a post dedicated to them. Nordstrom Rack is always a great place to look for shoes because 1) their shoe section in the store is huge and obviously an even bigger selection online and 2) their brand range is pretty amazing. You can get anywhere from Steve Madden to full on designer pieces for incredible prices.

Was I actually looking for something in particular when I went to Nordstrom Rack this week? No. Did I need two more pairs of shoes to add to my already extensive shoe collection? Also, no. But, these fit great and were a great price so being the person that I am, I had to get them.

I thought my love for leopard print was dwindling because I kept noticing myself thinking “no more leopard” as companies kept coming out with leopard print stuff (and more or less because I, at this point own too much leopard print and need to stop) but these leopard flats by Chinese Laundry had the perfect pointed tip, the perfect leopard print and overall just could go with so many outfits that I couldn’t pass them up. I will warn you, if you pick these up, make sure you have some friction spray or wear band-aids preemptively when wearing them for the first time because they’re pretty rough to break in.

I wore these with a pair of distressed white jeans from Express, a “denim” style top from Vici Collection and a Kimono sleeve cardigan from Loft. These go with almost any outfit and look great with solid colors. It’s always fun to print mix as well so these would look great with a striped tee as well.

Next up is the purchase I’m most excited about of the two and we are talking about these Steve Madden loafers. The color is the perfect neutral but is different than the typical neutrals you think of such as beige, gray, white and black. The suede on these is so soft and comfortable and you don’t have to worry about bloody blisters when breaking these in. I will be wearing these to work a lot in the upcoming months.

I wore them with a relaxed white tie top from the Express One Eleven collection, my new Wit & Wisdom jeans I kept from my February Trunk Club and some gold jewelry. I also added a sky blue bag for a pop of color because I am so ready for spring and am definitely into bright colors right now.

That’s all I have for you guys today! As always, thanks for reading!
