Happy April everyone! I love this month because it’s my family’s big birthday month (and my hubby as well) so it’s a month full of celebrations, family time and what usually comes with that – aka good food. April also means we are one step closer to summer and I am all about it.

A new month means we need to discuss what I loved in the prior one so today, I’ll be sharing some beauty, clothing and miscellaneous favorites from the month of March. Let’s jump right in.

Beauty

Flower Beauty Blush – This was my first ever Flower Beauty purchase and I was impressed enough that I will be expanding my Flower Beauty make up collection. The blush I bought was in the color “Sweet Pea” and is the most beautiful pink with a slight mauve tone. It’s a very pigmented blush so don’t over apply or you’ll look like a “matryoshka” as we Russians like to say (matryoshka = Russian nesting doll).

Physician’s Formula Healthy Foundation  – I have been using this foundation for about two months and can honestly say, this has probably become my most used foundation. It has SPF 20, which is perfect for everyday (especially since it’s now finally getting warmer) and looks really natural on the skin. It definitely provides enough coverage while still letting some things (like freckles) show through and make your skin look more natural. I will say, I don’t like the doe-foot applicator on it that it comes with but that’s the only negative.

It Cosmetics CC Cream – If I wasn’t wearing the PF foundation mentioned above last month, I was wearing the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I was way late on the trend with this one because everybody and their mom has been talking about this stuff for years but I definitely get where the hype was coming from. This provides some serious coverage for being a CC cream but the finish is what makes this so special. Your face literally looks flawless with this on. I feel like no matter the skin type, you can wear this CC cream. The shade selection isn’t the best, actually, far from it, but it is something you can blend in pretty well. I am a big fan.

OPI “Samurai Breaks a Nail” – I picked up this purple shade from the new OPI Tokyo collection and I received compliments the entire time I was wearing it. This shade is purple with an almost duo-chrome blue effect that is absolutely beautiful and perfect for spring and summer. If you’re into funky colors, pick this up.

Fashion

Denim Jacket – If you follow me on Instagram (@styleasneeded), you’ve already seen this jacket. Several times. I can’t help myself, this thing is SO comfortable and is the provides the perfect amount of warmth for the weather we are experiencing in Ohio right now so this probably won’t even be the end of it. I got it from Shoedazzle and this is probably my favorite clothing purchase of 2019 so far. I highly recommend getting a jacket like this for the spring.

Steve Madden Flats – These had almost an entire post dedicated to them (find it here) but these Steve Madden flats are a perfect neutral with a twist and the soft suede fabric on them is pretty great. Check them out.

Miscellaneous

Shameless – Scott and I recently started watching this show and now, you can pretty much find us doing nothing else during our free time. We have heard from a lot of people that eventually, it gets old, but until you get to that point, the show is pretty fantastic. Not suitable for children. I’ll put that out there right now.
