I’m probably not alone in saying I can’t believe it’s already November. Ohio, per usual, did its thing where you only got to enjoy about 2 weeks worth of true fall weather and fast forwarded through the best part. It could still prove me wrong and give us a few more nice weeks but I’m not holding my breath on that one.
So, now that it’s November, I think I should probably talk about all the things I’ve been loving in the last two months. I actually wrote down a list of twenty things but, decided to narrow it down to ten, not to overwhelm you guys too much. Plus, some of the items on the list are still pretty new and haven’t stood the test of time, so if they’re still great, you’ll get to read all about them in my November favorites.
I’ve been trying a ton of new stuff recently between being better about trying out products from my subscription boxes sooner and Ulta having back to back 21 days of beauty + 21 days of hair events. My vanity is full of new stuff and my bathroom drawers are busting with hair masks and other products I’ve been buying. So, because of all that, I have lots of favorites to discuss so without further ado…
Beauty Favorites

HSI Professional Straightener from Amazon – Thinking back to my high school days when I used to straighten my hair almost daily makes me cringe now. I’m someone that uses a straightener maybe once a month to fix my bangs and very, very rarely actually decides to straighten my hair fully. Keeping that in mind, I’m not someone that is looking to invest in an expensive straightener simply because it wouldn’t get used that often. However, it’s still good to have a functioning straightener at home and mine was so old and worn down, it was kind of sad to even look at. So, when I stumbled upon this $44 straightener on Amazon, I knew it was going to be replacing my old straightener. This heats up so fast and leaves a shiny finish on my hair. I have super curly hair and this can straighten mine with no issues.
Mizani Moisture Fusion Intense Moisturizing Mask – I’ve never even heard of this brand until the Ulta Gorgeous Hair Event was going on and this brand was 50% off during one of the days. I have dry, curly hair so any type of moisturizing hair mask or treatment is always something I’m happy to try and I’ve never quite seen results the way I did after I used this mask. I applied it in the shower after shampooing and left it on under a shower cap for 20 minutes after my shower. I then blew out my hair per usual only to have my hair stay completely perfect and not frizzy for several days after styling. Literally, weather and conditions that usually turn me into Mufasa did not have any effects on my hair. I completely believe this is because this mask moisturized my hair so much, it did not have to grab extra moisture out of the air to create frizz. This mask gets an A++.
R & Co Hairspray – I was lucky enough to get some complimentary products to try from the hair brand with the most creative, beautiful packaging ever, aka R +Co and happened to choose this hairspray to try out. Guys, this is the best hairspray ever. It is completely weightless and does not create a crunchy finish but holds your hair in so well. The packaging is also amazing which is always a plus.
NYX Epic Ink Liner – My new holy grail eyeliner. Stila liquid liner and Kat Von D Tattoo Liner will never grace my vanity again after the invention or you know, me finding this eyeliner. It is super black, super matte and has the same applicator as the tattoo liner so helps you create a flawless wing with no effort. If you use liquid liner, toss yours out and go get this one. Plus, this costs less than half of the aforementioned eyeliners. It’s a no brainer.
Pacifica Blush + Bronzer Duo – I got this in one of my subscription boxes and I think this might be my new favorite blush. This comes in a duo and the bronzer is pretty good as well but, this is definitely on the list because of the blush. It has a pretty sheen to it, so you don’t need to use highlighter on top and is the prettiest shade of pink. It actually comes as just the blush so that’s what I’ll be linking.
Benefit Cookie Highlighter – I saw Jaclyn Hill raving about this highlight a few months back but at that time, it was only available as part of a trio and I didn’t want to spend the money on a trio in which one of the items was already part of my collection (Hoola Bronzer). Then, I was walking around Ulta and stumbled upon this highlighter on its own. I guess Benefit heard the hype and decided to release it without the other products and after swatching this on my hand, I had to have this highlighter. It is literally the most beaming, gorgeous, foiled, intense highlight ever. If nothing else, go swatch this and see for yourself. 10/10, highly recommend.
Anastasia Beverly Hills x Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette – Guys, when I say I don’t need any more eyeshadow palettes, I mean that I literally don’t have room on my vanity for any more because I have so many. BUT. But… I had to have this palette. It had the prettiest shimmers, the best mattes and just unique shades that I didn’t have and the quality was unreal. I haven’t been this impressed with an eyeshadow palette in a long time.
Fashion Favorites
Halogen Hoop Earrings – I added these to my Trunk Club last month and have pretty much worn them every day since. I have been looking for thick gold hoops for a while and these are a great quality and a good price.
Sam Edelman “The Kitten Crop Skinny” Jeans – I picked these up during a Sam Edelman Nordstrom Rack event and am so happy with this purchase. Something about jeans that come pre-cuffed that is so much better than cuffing them on your own. They just look different, you know? These are a perfect length and a perfect fit. I think Sam Edelman is replacing Express as my favorite brand for jeans now.
Miscellaneous Favorites
Any List App – I have to give a huge shoutout to my friend Sonia for recommending this app. This is the app for all you Type A people that love making lists and for all you people that use Pinterest for recipes. You can have a grocery list on this app that you and your partner (or roommate or whoever) can both access and add items to. You can also import Pinterest recipes in here and add stuff directly from the recipe to your grocery list. You don’t have to re-write anything, the app creates the recipe page for you with all the ingredients and directions. It’s one of my favorite new apps.
Misses of the Month
Essie Nail Polish in “Tied and Blue” from the Winter 2019 Collection – I picked up this nail polish in the shade “Tied and Blue” and I’m not sure if Essie changed their formula or what’s wrong with this one but it was super goopy and looked horrible on. Would not recommend.
That’s all I have for you guys! Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products I talked about today and what some of your current favorites are!
As always, thanks for reading!
