You might be familiar with my “Brand Spotlight” series where I haul a bunch of products from one brand and talk about everything I loved and whatever I didn’t love so much. Today, I’m going to be starting a new series where I just talk about favorites from a certain brand. These are not “first impressions” per say as some of the Brand Spotlight products end up being. These are the tried and true products from a certain brand that I love.
We are going to be starting this series off with the skincare brand Ole Henriksen that you’ve either seen at Sephora or on your Instagram feed. They’ve made waves recently with some of their products and have gained some well deserved attention. I’ve tried quite a few products from this brand and today, I’ll be sharing my top 5 favorites.
Truth Serum – This is a vitamin C serum formulated with collagen that brightens your skin and gives you a very glowing look. I love this serum and had it as part of my morning skincare routine for quite a while. It doesn’t have that unpleasant scent that Vitamin C serums usually have which is another added plus. I saw results from this after just 2-3 days of use. My skin looked less dull and just overall more healthy. If you’re in the market for a great Vitamin C serum, look no further.
C-Rush™ Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer – Another one from the Vitamin C collection. This moisturizer smells very citrusy and delicious and does great job of re-hydrating dehydrated winter skin. This is definitely the most recent product I’ve tried from the brand and I will happily continue using it. It also claims to target lines and wrinkles while hydrating as well. I believe this is supposed to be more of a day cream but I’ve personally been using it at night.
Banana Bright Eye Cream – Probably the product you’ve seen on your Instagram recently because I’ve seen so many people (including myself) raving about it. This is the best eye cream I’ve ever tried. It is super hydrating and leaves your undereye area looking really bright and smooth. This is also formulated with Vitamin C so it has all the added benefits that come with that. This also is way more affordable than most eye creams out there and this little jar will last you a while.
Pore-Balance™ Facial Sauna Scrub – This is an exfoliating cleanser that cleans out your pores and absorbs excess oil (and I don’t have oily skin but I still love this stuff). It contains AHAs and when you first start rubbing it into your skin creates a warming sensation and when you wash it off, it cools of your skin. It’s very innovative and I love it. I use this about once a week and my skin has had less break outs and just overall has seemed a lot more clear and healthy.
Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum – The best retinol serum I’ve ever used. This is a lavender serum that brightens your skin instantly (reminds me a bit of the Becca Backlight primer) and I swear, I saw my lines go down within a few days of use. This stuff is amazing and if you are trying to find a gentle retinol serum, try this. It didn’t have that initial skin irritation that retinols can cause which is a major plus.
I recently also picked up their Banana Cream Foundation Primer but haven’t used it long enough yet to formulate a true opinion but as I mentioned earlier, everything I’ve ever tried from this brand, I’ve had very positive results.
