January Empties

I decided back in December that I was going to give my skin a break and not try any new products in January. With this in mind, I thought I was going to have a basket full of empties so I was surprised when I only used up 5 products over the whole month. But it’s quality over quantity and the products I used up are definitely worth talking about. So let’ dive in.

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam – This is definitely my favorite self tanner for when I need results fast. This gives a nice, natural looking color basically right away and it lasts through several showers. Don’t be scared by the greenish tint on the foam, it applies as a natural looking color. I used up the Light/Medium version but think I might go for the dark next time, especially once it gets closer to summer. I actually also prefer the Bondi Sand tanning mitt to most other tanning mitts I’ve tried.

Ouai Body Cleanser – If you like to splurge on nice body wash, this is one to try. I absolutely love the scent of this body wash and was absolutely thrilled when Ouai recently released it as a perfume. Now that I own the perfume I probably won’t be buying the body wash anymore because of the price tag but I absolutely loved it while I had it. If you don’t like heavily scented products, this is not for you. If you’re interested in the perfume, the scent for this one is called Dean Street.

Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Oil – I love this so much that I’ve already re-purchased this product. This is a cleansing oil that does a great job removing your make up and smells so nice. This was the cleanser that actually got me to commit to double cleansing so definitely kudos to it for that. I have been loving this brand in general recently as all of their skincare products that I’ve tried have worked great with my skin. I even “named” this product my favorite skincare find of 2021.

Peach & Lilly Glass Skin Refining Serum – I have very mixed feelings about this product. On one hand, there were days where it made my skin look so dewy and flawless that I was just astounded by it and then other days it did absolutely nothing for me. So with the fact that the results were so inconsistent for me, I think I’ll pass on re-purchasing.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in “Bittersweet” – I actually didn’t even finish this product but I’m throwing it out because I absolutely hate how the color looks on my lips and can’t say I’m a huge fan of the formula either. In the tube, the color doesn’t look that dark but once it sets on your lips it becomes way too dark for my liking. So just time to toss it and free up space in my lipstick drawer.

That’s all for today! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and what your thoughts are! As always, thanks for reading 😊
