Sephora Beauty Insider Appreciation Sale: What I Picked Up

We are a few days into the Sephora VIB Appreciation Event now and I shared earlier what I think is worth picking up during the sale. Today, I’ll be sharing what I actually picked up and maybe some of these items will make it into your guys’ cart on Sephora (or basket, if you’re shopping the sale in person). Unfortunately, the discount code this year is only valid on one purchase ( I learned the hard way) unlike previous years. I usually end up placing a follow up order after watching some videos of what other people picked up or reading about them online so I don’t have that luxury this year. Anyway, I picked up a lot of good stuff so let’s talk about it!

Urban Decay Born to Run Palette – This is the star of the show for me. This palette is what I was most excited about picking up during this sale. I have swatched it many times in Sephora and every time was amazed by the pigmentation in all the shadows and the amazing color selection. I have a feeling this will be my new travel palette because it has everything I need (including a matte black) and a great mirror. The one bad part for traveling is that it is a pretty big palette but I can get around that. Urban Decay, you did well with this one.

Urban Decay Primer Potion – The holy grail of eyeshadow primers. I always pick this up during the sale so it was a no brainer for me that I needed to re-stock. This primer will make your eyeshadow last all day so if you’re in the market for a good primer, look no further.

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder – The powder that everyone is always raving about has not yet made it to my vanity, until now. I’ve tried it out before and loved it but decided to go with the smaller size for now because I currently have too many translucent setting powders as it is but I still wanted to have this one. #beautyjunkieprobs

Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus Pencil & Gel – I picked this up because of Kathleen Lights’ raving review. This is an eyebrow pencil on one side and a gel on the other side. Two in one, perfect for travel as well. Can’t wait to try this out.

Diorshow Maximizer Mascara Primer – If you missed my post about what to pick up during the sale, this was at the top of my list. The best mascara primer ever. That’s all I’m gonna say.

Purity One Step Facial Cleanser – Every time I’m at my aunt’s house in Chicago, I always use this cleanser. She has a big bottle of it (with a pump) which I couldn’t quite commit to due to bathroom space restrictions so when I either have a house, or a bigger bathroom counter, I’m getting the big bottle of this stuff. This is the best facial cleanser ever. Takes of all your make up and is super gentle at the same time. No wonder everyone raves about this stuff.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask – I love my Watermelon Sleeping mask from this brand so I wanted to try the sheet masks as well. These are pretty pricey considering it’s only one sheet mask for $8 but this brand has such high quality products, I thought I should still try it out. Plus, look at that packaging.

Mount Lai Gua Sha – I know I’ve been on a jade rolling kick but it’s time to get gua sha involved as well. This is another tool for your face but this one targets different things than the jade roller. This tool boosts circulation (similarly to jade rolling) but also boosts collagen production in your face as well as smoothing your skin. Some people also see their facial features getting “thinner” or less puffy after using gua sha. So we’ll give it a try.

Herbivore Hydrate and Glow Set – Last but not least is this mini collection of Herbivore products. I’ve been wanting to try products from this brand for a while, but couldn’t decide where to start and when I ran across this set, I knew it was the perfect way to discover what the skincare brand is all about. This set includes a glow mask, a hydrating facial mist, a moisture cream and a facial oil.

So there you have it for everything I picked up during the sale! What did you pick up? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, thanks for reading!
